Water based stage makeup?

I am going to try to do kabuki style stage makeup using water based powder stuff. I am afraid it will sweat off. Will it? If so, any tips for keeping it thick and vibrant, and on my face?Water based stage makeup?
With an all over look like Kabuki, I would suggest using an oil based make-up. Water based tends to crack as it dries; increasing the itch. Maybe you could lotion your face first so that the water doesn't go directly into your moisture seeking skin?

Again, I wouldn't suggest using water based for an all over the face style.Water based stage makeup?
Water based stage makeup is not a good idea, other than sweating it off, it can make your face look shiny from the audience. Which I can say is very distracting. You should try something else, depending on what you're going to do. I you want something very vibrant, but comes off easily after a performance, try acrylic paint, but don't use it on your eyes.
Never used water-based-powder. I thought it was a greasepaint that was used.

I would think that you should powder before and after to try and keep it in place. I would suggest rehearsing makeup prior to performance to give you some experimentation time.
