It smooth and prepares the skin.. makes foundation last longer. It acts as a moisturiser also so the foundation glides on easier and you get a more even coverage :) highly recommend using it!Why is makeup base important?
i usually dont wear a makeup base, because i hardly wear foundation. but it makes your makeup last longer and protect your face with a layer from your makeup.
though an eyeshadow base is CRUCIAL! like Urban Decay primer potion or Too Faced shadow insurance because it makes your e/s not crease and the colors show off better. and last all day.
